Top Unsigned Talent 2021

Top Unsigned Talent 2021

Last year, we made our first annual list of wrestlers we believe are the best unsigned talent heading into 2020. It was filled with names such as Kris Statlander, Killer Kross, Mercedes Martinez and more who have since been signed (THANKFULLY!) and we just wanted to keep this tradition going. Even though 2020 has been a down year for everyone professionally and personally in the world of pro wrestling, there have been many talented wrestlers that not only maintained their wrestling status by working in whatever safe environments they could find, but through social media, helped elevate their names and brands. We just wanted to take a moment and give them a small platform and thanks for being the bright spots in this year. So many on this list brought happiness in a time where happiness was hard to find in our community.

And again, like last year’s list, there is no order system. (This list is also just an opinion based list made by Frank, the social media guy so please don’t take offense, it’s just who I think brought a lot to the table and can bring even more next year) The only qualifications for this list were to not be signed by WWE, AEW, ROH, MLW, Impact or NJPW.

This list also includes graphics to go with it and we used promo pictures of the wrestlers taken by many talented photographers so I just wanted to thank all of the photographers that did the hard work of editing and capturing it.

1.     Trish Adora

Trish Adora was one of the best wrestlers of the year 2020. Thanks to her showing at Butch v Gore against Ashton Starr, I was finally exposed to how amazing she is in the ring. The current Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Champion, she has made a huge name for herself in 2020 and continues to be a light on twitter. Her battle with Jordan Blade at Synergy WGSI2020 is one of the best matches of 2020 hands down. (Available on IWTV)

2.     Bryce Donavan/Bobby Orlando

Shook Crew has been taking the world by storm for a few years now as a trio but with Max Caster now signed, let’s focus on the other two members. Bryce and Bobby individually are great wrestlers and great on the mic. As an interviewer, these 2 make life so easy when you ask them questions because you never know where they will go with the question and you know they will talk plenty. As a team, they have been dominating all over the map and have held the Create-A-Pro tag team championships. Knowing how much talent has come from CAP, that speaks plenty on their skill level and popularity. They are a team that you can put on any show and know that other teams will have to step up to their level of skill and entertainment.

3.     Ashton Starr

Ashton Starr is exactly what his name says he is, a star. Watch his match at Butch vs Gore against Trish Adora and you will see why. The moment he stepped out of the tunnel for AEW Dark earlier this year, you could tell that he’s made for weekly TV with the way he carried himself throughout the match. From gear to wrestling style to the way he radiates, you can tell that a company would be lucky to have him be on their show.

4.     Dani Jordyn

The mean girl of pro wrestling, Dani Jordyn is such a great character to watch and cheer for. As a fan of the Mean Girls movie, her burn book, her recreation of the Christmas dance and her demeanor when people ask her for a picture with them, it’s so great to see someone be the perfect embodiment of Regina George in this world of pro wrestling. She’s been a regular on AEW throughout the year but I also really enjoyed her match with Freya the Slaya on NWA earlier this year.

5.     VSK

VSK is the champion of CAP, a star on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood, a star on AEW Dark and Sammy’s blog and he hasn’t even gotten close to reaching his potential. Anytime he’s given a platform to perform, VSK has delivered and can be a great star on any weekly TV wrestling show. That beard is just too glorious to pass up on anymore.

6.     Matt Macintosh

Macintosh is a former WrestlePro Gold Champion and current Silver Champion as well as having been the Champion at Synergy. Macintosh is so talented in the ring and can deliver a great match against any opponent regardless of their talent level. That is what makes him so valuable to the world of pro wrestling. And if you ever have seen him come out in the white suit, it’s attention grabbing. He is a person that I cannot recommend enough to companies in 2021.

7.     Shawn Donavan

Shawn Donavan is referred to as the Messiah of Old School because he’s the perfect old school wrestler with the right amount of new school mixed in. He’s someone that you just LOVE to watch get his ass kicked in the ring whether it’s at home at WrestlePro or on AEW Dark as the Grizzled Enhancement Talent that he loves to be. Shawn is great at doing everything correctly in the ring and his promos are wonderfully done every time to get the hype ready for the next match.

8.     Holidead

Holidead was someone I first saw as part of the Twisted Sisterz alongside Thunder Rosa but as a singles competitor, she might be the most frightening and unstoppable wrestler in the women’s division and honestly, I don’t know many men that could really stand toe to toe with her.

9.     Gabby Ortiz

Gabby Ortiz is a gift to us all. She’s a Monster Factory graduate and has the skills and looks to be a great addition to a company but I think her amazing personality and spirit is why she’s someone you’d want to keep around. Her size makes her opponents overlook her but man, can she perform! I’d love to see a big company give her a real shot at a contract soon.

10. WARHORSE

WARHORSE RULES ASS! The best IWTV Champion in history bar none, WARHORSE has gone through an unreal amount of title defenses since winning the title and has made a huge name for himself all over. His promos and twitter account are some of the best in the world of pro wrestling and if you need evidence for how well he can do on TV, watch his AEW match against Cody Rhodes and notice how he did not look out of place.

11. Willow

Willow Nightingale is someone who from the minute her song hits, you want to cheer for her. You can dance along with her to start the match and then when the bell rings, you love to see her bring her brand of intensity mixed with smiles. Singles or tag team, Willow is a valuable member of whatever locker room is lucky enough to have her.

12. Solo Darling

Solo Darling is not just a great wrestler, she is also someone that makes you smile from the moment she walks out with Magnum to cheering for her muscles during her entrance to getting pumped up to see her vicious strikes throughout the match. Her pups are a such an uplifting treat to the locker room that she’s in and getting a person who brings you smiles just from walking into the building is such a necessary addition without even considering how skilled she is in the ring.

13. Nick Stapp

Nick Stapp is the most unique human being I have ever met. The former CPA is now the most perfect indie folk emo hero that indie wrestling could have ever hoped for. HE FOUGHT TRAPT THIS SUMMER! Nick had a great match with Brian Pillman Jr during the WrestlePro Dream Sixteen and I feel like he’s just scratching the surface on what he can bring to the table. His social game and his love story with Siri is a highlight of my year.

14. KC Navarro

KC has been a young star to watch for years now and he’s still only 21!! His ability in the ring is nowhere near its peak and he dresses like a star in and out of the ring. I feel like when people say “dress like the part” they really mean KC because he dresses like someone that is going to be a huge champion one day. You can’t help but want great things to happen for this guy

15. Notorious Mimi

One of the youngest wrestlers on this list, Mimi has really shot up the charts this year. At only 17, she’s already held 5 titles from NJ to Minnesota and she hasn’t even started to scratch the surface of where her potential can take her. A Monster Factory student, with the guidance of Danny Cage, she could be well on her way to a major contract before the end of 2021 and a big time championship reign won’t be too far behind that. (A Talkin’ Sauce alum!)

16. Vicki

The Vivacious Vicious Vicki is a WrestlePro grad so her abilities are up to the standards you’d expect from a Pat Buck trained wrestler but it’s her natural ability on the microphone and her amazing story that make her someone to watch. A true role model for men and women of all ages with the obstacles she’s overcome and that saucy Italian attitude, you’ll be seeing plenty of cheetah print in 2021. (A Talkin’ Sauce alum!)

17. JD Drake

One of the toughest SOBs in pro wrestling today, JD Drake has toured the country and laid an ass kicking on some of the biggest names in the world. Having held singles and tag title gold with Anthony Henry by his side for years now, the fact that he hasn’t already been signed is a crime. He looks the part and I rarely see chops look more painful than his. Get this man on TV already.

18. Jordan Blade

Jordan Blade is an athlete that deserves attention immediately. Not only can she bring intensity to the ring but her technical abilities and counter game are insane. Having the honor of watching her battle with Trish Adora at Synergy live, I still am thinking about her counter move into an armbar that would have beaten any other human being on Earth into submission. Jordan Blade will be a star. Period

19. Big Game Leroy

Big Game Leroy has proven that no matter how hard the level is and whatever boss he must face, he can bring his A game. Watching his battle with PB Smooth at the PolyAm Cult Party 2 up close, Leroy brought such a great game plan into the match and shocked PB from the get-go. You can expect this star to keep leveling up for a long time to come.

20. JT Dunn

Death by Elbow. JT’s comeback story is one of the best in pro wrestling and his talent is without a doubt TV ready. This guy is a star that just hasn’t had the chance to prove it yet. The day he gets the AEW Dark graphic and match opportunity is the day the world will blow up with the #SIGNJTDUNN hashtag. His talent is undeniable and hopefully 2021 sees him signed and maybe even a reunion with a certain Hero.

21. Mike Verna

A real-life Superman, this proud Italian is the exact pro wrestler stereotype with the way his body looks. He probably works out in his sleep with the way his muscles look from AEW Dark to his movie roles. Verna has worked hard for a long time for his opportunities and I hope he finally gets the reward at the end of his rainbow. And maybe he’ll learn how to pronounce mozzarella.

22. Smiley

Smiley is a personal favorite of mine from the first time I ever watched an indie wrestling event. They are crazy in terms of ring talent and personality and it’s just such an eye catching in ring persona. Their House of Glory entrance with the casket filled with Smileys is one of my favorite moments ever in pro wrestling.

23. Alec Price

A 4-year wrestling veteran, Price has gone from a relative unknown to a huge name at a national brand in Limitless Wrestling. The Prize made it all the way to the finals of the Limitless Vacationland cup against eventual winner Christian Casanova. The sky is the limit for someone with a training background like his.

24. TJ Crawford

The best entrance song in all of wrestling is just the first taste you get when you first see TJ, but then he follows it up with vicious kicks, unreal selling and unbelievable ring awareness and ability to make any match a must watch. Just to name a few of his best matches have happened in the last year: Kris Statlander, Anthony Bowens and Kasey Catal. Any of those matches can be the example you need to know why he’s a future star. Just needs the chance.

25. Eli Everfly

Eli Everfly might be a small package but he’s a small package that provides a massive punch. Any Eli Everfly match you watch will be filled with jaw dropping moments throughout and filled with moments where you just can’t believe a human body can do these things. Already having a win over The Miz in his career, why wouldn’t someone want Eli in their locker room!?

26. SLADE

SLADE was put into this list because his handler at Rykers informed us that he would shank us all if we didn’t. I want no problems with this man. But as the current CAP TV champion, he’s also really impressive in the ring with his vicious second gear that very few can slow down.

27. MV Young

MV Young has grown tremendously in a year not only in the ring but out of it as well. He grew his own new promotion in backyards across Brooklyn and Pittsburgh and gave a new crop of talent a chance to show the world their talents. On top of that, he provides any match he’s going to be in with endless promotion with the help of the team at New Fear City by doing promos (with his handy Ringlight of course) and with the help of the PolyAm Cult that has become worldwide. A cinematic match master at this point, the pandemic has not even slightly slowed him down.

28. Casanova Valentine

Casanova Valentine has been known as a deathmatch wrestler for a while and for good reason: he’s the king of the no ring deathmatch. But he’s for sure more than just a bleeding God of the deathmatch. He can go against anyone in a regular match and kills it on his promos! (shout out to New Fear City yet again)

29. Eric James

Eric James is a former CAP TV Champion (no one was stopping the SLADE train) but he’s got his eyes set on an even bigger prize: The CAP Championship. Talented in the ring and proven on the microphone time after time (I bet he could sing that song and nail it), this one man Boy Band can absolutely kill it for a major TV company that wants a proven commodity (check the Lana Lashley wedding YouTube numbers if you need proof).

30. Aaron Rourke

The Dime Piece Aaron Rourke is another amazing CAP wrestler that has the backing of an amazing training school and must live up to the other names that have walked through the halls of CAP in Long Island but what he brings is completely different from the others. He has his own style and attitude and just exudes star power when he walks through the curtain with his robe on. There will be a day when we speak about the Dime Piece in the same level as Statlander, MJF and the rest of the CAP legends.

31. Bear Country

Bear Country has been dominating for years now and are a proven commodity. Whether in singles competition or in tag team, Bronson and Boulder are both well equipped to dominate in any division. But as a team is where they are both most well-known. From Beyond Wrestling to WrestlePro to CAP to XWA, they have been a force to reckon with and when finally given a chance at a big stage on AEW Dark, they went toe to toe with the Dark Order and showed that they belonged with one of the best matches in the show’s history. I don’t know when it will finally happen but it will absolutely happen, these two belong under contract somewhere. Can’t wait to see it.

32. Kasey Catal

Being properly introduced to professional wrestling in early 2017, Kasey took to the ring and has never looked back. Having trained with Create A Pro, headed by Pat Buck and Brian Myers, Kasey has a complete understanding of what it takes to electrify the audience. Holding Multiple Titles (both single and as a Tag Team) she has made a name for herself in promotions such as Synergy Pro Wrestling, CZW, Beyond, and even a spotlight appearance on WWE’s Monday Night Raw. Catal stands out with her confidence and unmatched fight against any opponent. Many championships ahead for this fiery beauty.

33. Maine State Posse

Maine State Posse have been a fixture in the Northeast tag team division since I started being a fan of indie wrestling and their longevity is a testament to how well they mesh as a team and how much the community likes them. Aiden Aggro and DangerKid are two young and athletic competitors that together or apart are just fun to watch. I know people who show up to shows strictly because MSP is on the card. That’s Rockstar status.

34.  The Whisper

This highflyer is anything but quiet with his agility in ring. The Whisper has been making waves across the independent scene, with solid match ups against known names of Kris Statlander, Jordan Oliver, and Penelope Ford. His fast action and huge momentum is a guarantee with any match that he is a part of. His talent will speak volumes rolling in to 2021.

35. Brandon Kirk

Tough and Relentless immediately comes to mind when speaking of Brandon Kirk. Showcasing his devastating style across promotions like Limitless, Synergy Pro Wrestling, GCW, and CZW, Kirk can terrorize on the mic and go toe to toe with anybody in the ring. Putting up huge battles against big names like Joe Gacy (currently signed with WWE/NXT) and LSG (Ring of Honor), Kirk is a must watch talent that will take it to any heights to win.

36. Nerd World Order

The NErd World ORder is the perfect blend of sweet and sour that we all need. Joey Silvery is the sweet babyface that we all love to see, especially because he gives us candy. And Kip is the evil bastard we all love to boo and cheer for at the same time. This NWO is a child favorite in  Synergy and hopefully we'll see a bigger invasion from them soon enough.

37. Frightmare

Not a newbie to the Professional Wrestling arena. His control in ring is simply amazing, with the ability to do what few can in ring physically. Frightmare and his crafty lucha-style easily finds himself in many Championship spotlights. Intensity and crisp maneuvers gives him such an advantage across promotions like Beyond Wrestling, Evolve, and Synergy Pro Wrestling. If you haven’t had the opportunity to appreciate his talent in person, change that in 2021.

38. Ellis Taylor

Another member of YDNB, Ellis Taylor has made a name for himself in singles competition. Whether he's on Synergy or GCW, he's been a menace in and out of the ring and is a person to watch not only for his talents but for how much of a sneaky bastard he is.

39. Matt Vertigo

One of the hottest talents to step into Synergy pro wrestling in 2020, Matt Vertigo is way too tall to be that level of athletic but he makes it happen. From day one at Synergy, he has proven he's belonged on the card every PPV and he'll be comiong for all of the titles in 2021.

40. Pretty Proper

A husband-and-wife duo being a full-time tag team is super rare in the world of pro wrestling but even if it were a normal occurrence, I don’t know many duos that could compete with this one. Lady Frost and The Savage Gentleman Victor Benjamin are such a perfect duo together. With Lady Frost’s athleticism and eye-catching gear and look matching next to Victor’s physique and strength, their tag team abilities are something that fans look forward to seeing when they’re on a card. Even in singles action, they both can compete with anyone on any roster around the world. And it’s those things that make them a must sign team for 2021 and I know I can’t wait to see the big things coming their way.

41. Veda Scott

Veda Scott is a rare talent in that no matter if she is in the ring wrestling or in the commentary booth talking, she is a fan favorite that people clamor to want to see in person and meet. Her entertaining demeanor in the ring makes her an instant crowd favorite from the moment she walks through the curtains and her microphone skills in the booth have made AEW Dark fans miss her and they constantly ask for her to come back on the show. She brings so much value by herself and it’s a shame she isn’t full time on TV by now.

42. Sebastian Cage

The Lit Superstar Sebastian Cage has been the Pro Wrestling Magic Light Heavyweight Champion now for well over a year and his reign does not seem like it is going to be stopped anytime soon. He is held off big time competition to retain his title (one of the best-looking titles in the world right now) and he’s done so with his own style and flavor. Being a young star with so much swagger and championship pedigree, it seems like it is only a matter of time before he’s scooped up by a big time company.

43. Erica Leigh

Erica Leigh is one of my top newcomers this year. She’s really become a star throughout 2020 with huge matches against the likes of Darius Carter (One of my matches of the year), Billy Dixon (2x) and against Tasha Steelz in the WGSI2020. She’s a menace on Twitter sometimes but she is absolutely a beast in the ring and Pro Wrestling Magic and any other company that is lucky to have her should put Gold on her waist and shoulders ASAP.

44. Laynie Luck

The Party Unicorn has gotten her name out in the national scene more and more in the last few years especially with the help of some high profile matches including her defense against a returning Kylie Rae and soon to depart to WWE Shotzi Blackheart. An absolute beast in the ring, her Reality of Wrestling matches against Hyan have been some of my favorites of her’s to watch.

45. Delilah Doom

The other half of DoomFly is just as fun and exciting to watch as Eli Everfly. She is fun and carefree and it’s rare to ever see her do the same thing from one match or another. In the past few years, she has been near the top of SoCal Uncensored’s Top female wrestler of the year in California, having been the number one rated Woman in SoCal in 2018. In a scene like SoCal filled with talented individuals, to be recognized as often as she is is a testament to how amazing she is in the ring and how much she is loved by the wrestling community. Also, she loves Robin Sparkles and that’s an easy +1 for me any day of the week.

46. Davienne

The easiest example of why I believe Davienne is a future star in wrestling is her being the WSU Spirit Champion. The lineage of that title is unreal being held by names such as Kris Statlander, Kiera Hogan, Jordynne Grace, Su Yung and more. Being put on the same level as those names at such a young age is impressive enough and then you add her impressive tag team resume alongside JT Dunn at Chaotic wrestling, this is a star of the future.

47. Heather Monroe

A Santino Bros graduate, Heather Monroe has made a huge name for herself all over the map, having performed on WWE, AEW and Impact wrestling throughout her career. She was the top woman wrestler in SoCal in 2019 in the SoCal Uncensored rankings and being recognized as the top female in a SoCal scene as stacked as the current one is a pretty amazing accomplishment. With the amount of looks that she’s had from the big companies and the great background of training she has, it’s only a matter of time before we see her on weekly TV.

48. Riley Shepard

The Gladiator of the Geeks is one of the best humans to be around in pro wrestling. She is so happy and full of joy every time you see her (unless she’s being tricked by me into eating super-hot sauce on camera but it was the best time) and she brings the LARPing spirit to the world of pro wrestling like few can. A former police officer turned pro wrestler, she’s in a very small club alongside Mustafa Ali and it is a great reminder to everyone that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. It’s a real joy to have a person like Riley around.

49. Sea Stars

The Sea Stars are a duo of Seeeesters (yes I just figured out what Sea Stars meant this year and yes, a few of you just got it from reading this and that’s okay) Delmi and Ashley and in a world filled with stars that should be signed, I feel like these two are super high on the list of talented individuals that need to be signed like yesterday. Impact has been smart enough to feature them on their Women’s tag team division recently and I hope it leads to full time contracts because these two are just amazing to watch in the ring every time I get a chance to.

50. Amazing Graysons

Tommy and JP Grayson have really found their way in the last few years and are quickly becoming a team that can go into any tag team division and make a name for themselves. They finally grabbed the WrestlePro tag team gold this year and found themselves in Alaska as well making a name for their team. There won’t be any slowing down for the Graysons in 2021 and you can bet that they’ll be looking to reclaim their tag team gold.

51. Molly McCoy

The Grittiest Girl in the Game, Molly McCoy is a badass in the ring. They are part of the Outfielders alongside their cousin Boomer Hatfield and they were a third of the Camp Leapfrog Trios Champions alongside Still Life with Apricots and Pears and Boomer Hatfield. Molly McCoy brings hockey to pro wrestling (Which is awesome by the way) and is not afraid to throwdown with anyone bigger or smaller. Having won the Trios championship on such a big stage is going to lead to many great things in 2021 and they are someone to keep your eyes on!

52. Wayward

The winner of the WrestlePro Dream Sixteen tournament, Bobby Wayward has been a force in the WrestlePro ranks for a long time. Along the way to winning the tournament he defeated Micah Taylor, Brian Pillman and Habib from the car wash! Wayward also made an appearance on AEW Dark this year and knowing that he’s a CAP graduate and how amazing CAP grads are doing in the world of AEW, it would not be a surprise if he’s back there, maybe even for good.

53. Trey Felipe

Trey Felipe is a smaller known name, but his skill level is way above his level of recognition. Just one chance to prove how good he is, and he’ll be someone people will take notice of. A Damian Adams student, you know that he’ll be able to perform at the level of anyone put in front of him. Big things heading his way in 2021.

54. Kenny Bengal

Mr All Day Kenny Bengal has been around for a while and has been an absolutely fantastic athlete in the ring. The ECPW Champion for more than a year now, he’s hit the road to find more success for himself and he was a standout at Northeast Wrestling’s tryouts in March and earned himself a match on the card. Bengal is someone that just needs the opening and he can run with the chance he’s given and take it all of the way. Pure skills

55. AMS

Steve Off and Alex Reiman have been a dominate tag team at Pro Wrestling Magic for years. But now, the American Murder Society have taken their team on the road and traveled to London and Florida to compete and show that they can hang with anyone. They are also cinematic veterans having done a short film this summer to call out any tag team in the world that is up for the challenge.

56. Chase Holliday

Chase Holliday is a graduate of the Black and Brave Academy having been trained by Seth Rollins and Marek Brave. At such a young age, he’s already become the Midwest Territory champion at Paradigm Pro Wrestling. A dominant win at the PolyAm Cult Party 2 was a great way to get his name out all over the country and a lot of eyes are going to be on him from now on.

57. Vinny Pacifico

Vinny Pacifico can never be counted out. Just when you think he’s reach a plateau, he fights to reach another level. A former ROH Future of Honor competitor, this year he was able to perform on AEW Dark and show even more eyes the things he can do. Let’s hope he gets another opportunity to show what he can do and open the eyes of the people with the contracts.

58. Mr Grim

Mr Grim is a former Wrestler’s Lab champion but he’s been a belt collector throughout his entire career. Any time he’s given a stage to prove how great he is, he delivers. Whether it’s putting his opponent in a body bag or getting into the body bag himself, Mr Grim always is a must watch wrestler because anything can happen in his matches. Watch his cinematic match against MV Young from earlier this year.

59. Jamie Senegal

Jamie Senegal is a dream for a promoter. She is a great worker and a huge personality online that always gets the attention of the public. A great representative of the LGBTQ community, she has only gotten better every year she’s performed and I feel like one shot on TV and she’ll be a huge star.

60. Shazza Mckenzie

Shazza is an absolute international star. She is a talented individual in the ring and has showcased that all over the map and has even performed on an AEW PPV to show for it. But it’s her amazing ability to get over online and be one of the first wrestling personalities to get popular on TikTok that makes her such a must follow online. Any company will add value with her on the roster whenever she’s allowed to come to the US again.

61. Mance Warner

#FREEMANCEWARNER. The things Ole Mancer can do in the ring is great. A real old school style mixed with a modern personality is a great way to get the crowd in the palm of your hands but that damn entrance of his is an experience that people need to feel at least once in their lives. He can be a huge figure in pro wrestling if he goes to the right place with the right boss.

62. AJ Gray

There is no doubt that AJ Gray is one of the best wrestlers in the world. He always delivers great matches, and his presence is prominent on social media. For The Culture is one of the best events that have ever happened in pro wrestling and it brought many new eyes onto talented wrestlers that would’ve never been otherwise seen by them and AJ Gray had his hands all over creating the event.

63. Matthew F’n Justice

Matthew Justice is already part of wrestling cult history with his involvement in the BlackCraft Cult Wrestling show in Jersey City Wrestlemania Weekend. But he’s more than just a name because of that cult following. He’s over 6 feet tall, crazy athletic, willing to do anything to win and he will jump off of anything during his matches and it’s just something you can never turn away from.

64. Allie Kat

Allie Kat is one of the most popular wrestlers in the world, even without a major contract boosting her. She is charismatic, she can wrestle anyone put in front of her and gets the crowd in the palm of her hands every single time. With the help of J-Rose, her promo game is an A++ and she’s someone that a promoter is lucky to have on their show because she promotes like crazy and makes people want to go just to see her live.

65. Jimmy Lloyd

Jimmy Lloyd is on a mission to fight every single living legend that is still wrestling, and he’ll die trying to get through them all. His journey of legends at VXS wrestling is one of my favorite stories going on in wrestling right now. I love that Jimmy Lloyd is a carefree soul out of the ring and a dangerous person in the ring. His I Quit match against G-Raver at GCW will be one of the highlights of New Years Eve weekend.

66. Lee Moriarty

This is the best wrestler in all of wrestling. Superior technical abilities, a great persona, a humble (But scary) attitude, a wholesome gang officer, and a talented graphic maker. Lee brings so much to the table as a performer and as a human and he’s just so easy to cheer for. There is an endless list of dream matches that involve Lee on every promoter’s list right now. Hopefully, they’ll be able to get those done before that contract comes in.

67. Tre Lamar

In the past two years he has exploded with the charisma and skill that deserves a signing. It’s hard to pin down just when his star began its assent (Due to the setback of COVID-19) arguably his debut at GCW put the wind back in his sails and with his Impact Wrestling debut in sight it’s clear that major promotions are keeping their eyes on him. Honestly, it’s only a matter of time. (Credit to Connor)

68. Adam Payne

The Payne train was one of the longest reigning champions in Pro Wrestling Magic history and his Dark Arts title reign featured many amazing defenses against huge names. Payne is a decorated Army Veteran and it’s what makes him so great to cheer for. His size is eye opening but it’s his speed that comes along with that size that is frightening to see for any opponent.

69. JXT

Another international superstar from Australia, JXT has toured the US and showed the crowds here why he’s so worth the price of admission. Let’s hope we’re all able to get him back here soon enough to get some more amazing performances from the Blacklisted one.

70. Chris Dickinson

Dickinson is a huge name in the pro wrestling world mostly because of his affiliation with Team Pazuzu and his amazing work at GCW. He’s been a star at every promotion he’s been at from Beyond to Evolve to GCW. I hope we’re all lucky enough to see Dickinson get signed and have him be a weekly star.

71. Inzanely Rude

RJ Rude and Zane Bernardo are at almost 500 days as Northeast Wrestling tag team champions. That’s by far the longest reign in company history and that’s a company with a long long tradition. If given the shot to perform, both of them give a show that people will remember and they have an entrance song that any kid that grew up in the 2000s will instantly know and love.

72. Christian Casanova

Christian Casanova is a bonafide star. He’s now holding 3 titles in 3 major companies in the Northeast: The Northeast Wrestling Live Title, the Limitless Wrestling Championship and the Chaotic Wrestling Championship. Those 3 companies trusting their companies titles on one person can tell you how big of a star they all believe he is. If by the end of 2021, he isn’t signed, it would be an injustice to his work and potential.

73. Charles Mason

Charles Mason has made himself a star this past year. He used to just be a rich millionaire playboy, but now he’s fully transformed into an American Psycho. His sick attacks at Synergy have made him the most hated at the promotion and I can’t wait to watch him be hated across the country soon enough.

74. 44OH

Rickey Shane Page, Atticus Cogar, Eddy Only, Gregory Iron and Eric Ryan are the biggest heel stable in all of wrestling. There is no collective team that people want to see lose more than 44OH and they are single handedly the reason people hate Ohio more than ever. Yes, they are talented and good at wrestling and even better at promos. But they make hating them so easy and I hope RSP loses his title this weekend at GCW.

75. Nolo Kitano

The Ghetto Samurai has used wrestling to help him get out of the ghetto and there is no motivation for success better than getting out of a bad way of life. One of the absolute best finishers in all of wrestling, he’s so athletic and people cannot take their eyes off of him during his matches because his moves can be hit at any second and deliver a win.

76. Ray Lyn

Ray Lyn is another one of the great wrestlers in the Pittsburgh scene. She brings a great attitude with her to the ring and she’s great at being the fun babyface or can be a great overconfident mean girl heel as we saw when she teamed up with Brandi Lauren at Queen of the North 2 in Brii Combination Wrestling. She’s a world traveling talent and people love seeing her wrestling anytime she’s on the card.

78. Masha

Masha is officially an international star now as well. She’s missed here in the states but her time in Japan is building up the star potential that we all knew she had here. And I’ve said it many times, but every time she posts a picture of herself, she looks more and more bad ass. Whether it’s her developing more of the look of the Joshi wrestlers she’s around or it’s just the coolness that’s inside of her, it’s working and I hope one day she comes back here so we can all witness the star in person.

79. Mane event

Ringleader Midas and Lyon grab everyone’s attention the second their music from The Greatest Showman hits. These two are great showmen and having been trained at such a great school like HOG, their impressive pedigree shows in the ring. Their teamwork shows from the start of their match and they seem like they have been synched at the hip for decades. The gimmick is so perfect for their personalities and I feel like with their work ethic and charisma, there is so much more potential to be unlocked.

80. Effy

The greatest persona on Twitch. His Monday Not Raw show is so great for people to watch and get to know indie wrestling matches that they otherwise wouldn’t know about and they have such a great host along with it. Effy’s Big Gay Brunch was such an important event for this year as well as it showcased so many LGBTQA wrestlers that many people would not have gotten to see without the event. And he’s just so good technically in the ring and his match with MV Young at PolyAm Cult Party 1 was the perfect main event to an amazing card.

81. Zicky Dice

Zicky Dice is another Black and Brave graduate that is filled with so much potential. He’s on this list because he will be a free agent away from the NWA soon but having been an NWA TV champion is a huge addition to his resume at only 5 years in. With the charisma and flair that he brings, it won’t be long until a new contract comes his way but for now, hopefully some indies nearby us can hire him and give us a chance to see him!

82. PB Smooth

An absolute sight to see is PB Smooth walking into a ring. 6’9, strong, trained by the Garganos and a former basketball player. He can go toe to toe with anyone on any show and will probably tower over them. He’s made for TV already and he’s someone that can be the future champion at any company and I’ll be cheering heavily for him.

83. Jody the Wrestler

There are people on Twitter that are Jody the Wrestler fans and they have never seen him wrestle. He’s a great online persona and has really built his popularity on trying to get cancelled. But he’s really great in the ring as well and is a decorated wrestler out of Las Vegas and has been in the ring against Karrion Kross and survived. But it was the PolyAm Cult Party 2 that exposed me to him and I loved every second of his performance. And that fame-asser to Jaiden was unreal!

84. Billy Dixon

What can you say about Billy Dixon that hasn’t been said? An excellent wrestler, an excellent presence on social media, KILLS it as a booker (see Paris is Bumping for an easy example), an amazing champion. Billy Dixon is who bigger companies need to hire because he is that bad ass that can be the role model for younger generation BIPOC and LGBTQA and show them they can be themselves and be a complete bad ass all at the same time. I love seeing Billy succeed. And I love watching Billy in no ring deathmatches because goddamn, no remorse for his body.

85. Freya the Slaya

It’s really rare that you can talk about someone and have no doubt that they are the best wrestler living in their state but Freya is without a doubt that person. The best wrestler that currently resides in the state of Alaska, she has been featured in a great match against Dani Jordyn on NWA and on matches in AEW Dark. She is also the face of the women’s division at WrestlePro Alaska and she is going to showcase why she belongs at a bigger company when she faces NWA Women’s champion Serena Deeb in Alaska in April.

86. Deonn Rusman

The best wrestler to have ever come out of the state of Alaska. Bold to say but absolutely accurate. Another trainee from Black and Brave Academy, this man is fantastic in the ring, has the look for TV, can compete with anyone and make an amazing match happen and is just a great dude to be around. As the Interim WrestlePro Gold Champion, the battle that has been brewing between him and Anthony Bowens is going to come to a head at WrestlePro Alaska Wasilla and everyone needs to tune in for that one.

87. Trevor Aeon

Trained by Micah and Tracy Taylor, Trevor Aeon is a crazy intimidating wrestler. The eyes, the muscles and his desire to shoot BURN A BUILDING if he isn’t given his Battle Club Pro Franchise Title match (FIX THAT JOAKIM). He can do it all in wrestling as well. He is not just a solo act being a former Wrestler’s Lab Nucleus champion, as he’s won tag team gold as well. I definitely hope to see more of him in 2021 especially up in the Northeast…just hopefully without fire..

88. Suge D

Suge D has had a hell of a 2020 with appearances in AEW and WWE but his absolute best performance has been being one half of the greatest rivalry in pro wrestling today, The Wholesome Gang v The Creep Squad. As The Wholesome Gang leader, he has been the voice of reason for their side and makes sure he keeps his team in check when they slip up on Main. Let’s hope that we see a real life blow off survivor series style match between the teams in 2021.

89. Faye Jackson

The leader of the Creep Squad, her recruiting efforts for her team have been nothing short of legendary. The names and numbers she has added to her squad are hard to beat for the other side and her idea of the Grey Sweatpants Battle Royal was going to be the most watched match WrestleMania weekend hands down. She continues to try to get herself cancelled but she’s really one of the most beloved humans in pro wrestling as so many see her as a leader in the community and she brings so many smiles when she steps into the ring.

90. Terra Calaway

One of the best humans in pro wrestling today. The founder of Dropkick Depression Wrestling, she has made it her mission to be a voice for those who struggle with their mental health while being a positive light to the community. Her retirement was a sad time for people but we’re all thankful she’s back in the ring and we cannot wait to see what she brings for us next year.

91. Corinne Mink

MonGirl McMichael had a hell of a 2020. Changing her look and training at Damian Adams’ school, Corinne has brought about a new persona that just feels perfect for her. Her new jersey is a shout-out to her dad (and we love to see that) and she looks like a bad ass Mongo ready to tackle anyone at any time. Her cameo as Siri in Uncanny Attraction’s Wrestlers Take Manhattan was one of my favorite moments of the year.

92. Jeff Cannonball

The best internet gimmick going today. The short soda review guy is my favorite part of going on Twitter and seeing what the new flavor of the day is and watching Jeff’s face immediately after the taste hits his mouth. He is also a crazy person in the ring and being the Deathmatch Vegan and a former 2x H20 Heavyweight champion is something that cannot go unnoticed on his resume. We all await the day the entrance is filled with bottles of soda ready to burst when they’re filled with mentos for his entrance. It will be glorious.

93. O’Shay Edwards

The Big Bad Kaiju is ready to start the year 2021 swinging heavy by debuting at Synergy Pro Wrestling, one of the hottest promotions in the world and his match against KTB is going to be filled with hard hits from these 2 giants. An ROH Dojo grad, when he walks into any room, he’s going to demand attention with his towering body and that mask just honestly scares the hell out of me.

94. Eel O’Neal

Eel O’Neal is one half of the Kings of the District along with Jordan Blade and has been nicknamed Baby Hoss for his unreal power for his size. But it’s his background in improv that makes him unreal to watch. He got my attention the minute he did one of his promos on Twitter with the black and white and the menacing tone of voice and all. A guy who can perform in the ring is great to have but you give me someone who’s great in the ring AND can create great promos as well to promote anything and everything and you are on your way to having a star.

95. Darius Carter

The top heel in the game, Darius Carter can make an infant in a crowd hate him. And I honestly feel like this has happened already. Darius is just the tops when it comes to making a crowd just want to hate a person. From the moment he steps through the curtain, his smugness gets to every member of the crowd and then you see him on Twitter being that exact same person, it’s just so easy to cheer against this guy. But he backs it all up. Never has a bad match, never backs down, never stops giving you the Darius Carter attitude that you love to hate. And his rivalry with Erica Leigh led to an all time classic in the Pro Wrestling Magic Kingdom that is going to be hard to top. Wrestling’s Richest Prize is a needed asset to any and all companies.

96. Façade

Façade is one of the coolest wrestlers in the world today. His look and abilities in the ring are so eye catching and you never know what crazy thing he’s going to pull off when you get to see a match of his. The graffiti and interaction with the fans make him so loveable and the fact that he’s done this for so long and still can deliver the crazy high flying that we love is just so impressive. I hope 2021 is the year a major company finally pulls the trigger on such a talented person.

97. Travis Jacobs

A Monster Factory trainee, Travis Jacobs is still so young but he’s already joined the ranks as a MFPW Champion and among those on the link are names like Damian Priest, Preston Vance, LSG, Abyss and QT Marshall. Not a bad spot to be at only 23 years old. And with the tutelage of Danny Cage behind him, some amazing things could be heading his way soon.

98. Daniel Garcia

Red Death is one of the best young talents in pro wrestling today. He hits hard, can make you tap at any moments notice and he works hard to make himself stay in shape and able to perform. Having been trained by Pepper Parks in the Buffalo NY area, he’s been able to get his name out there and now people all over the country have seen him perform on shows such as VXS wrestling and on AEW Dark alongside Kevin Blackwood.

99. Kevin Blackwood

Kevin Blackwood is another great wrestler from the Buffalo area. He’s only been performing for around 5 years and yet he seems so fluid and experienced in the ring. Getting to see him perform on Beyond Wrestling and AEW Dark have really helped me like watching him perform and he’s extremely talented outside of the ring as he’s a now former tattoo artist and also an amazing graphic artist. Multitalented people deserve their place in entertainment and he’s already proven that he can succeed on a major platform like AEW.

100.       Puf

The most beloved figure in AEW Dark history and no, I’m not joking about it whatsoever. Every Tuesday night on the AEW Dark live chat, people still comment “Where’s Puf?” and with the amount of talent that has performed on Dark, that is a huge accomplishment. Puf is so wildly entertaining in everything he does (catch him on Twitch!), you would imagine AEW management is going to have to listen to the demands the crowds have been making and bring him back!

101.       Megabyte Ronnie

Another Buffalo wrestler, Megabyte looks like an old school brawler and is an Army veteran. And his body stays in incredible shape when you add the fact that he is a top 20 competitive eater in the world! He’s got an amazing YouTube channel with a great following and those are easy recipes (see what I did there) for success in entertainment.

102.       Keith Youngblood

Youngblood is someone that I discovered getting to watch him at Northeast Wrestling where not only is he the number one contender to the Heavyweight championship but he’s a former 3x tag team title winner, once with Jerry the King Lawler. An insane crowd favorite at NEW, when he finally gets his championship match against Dan Maff, the crowd is going to be insane!

103.       Manders

A former Iowa Hawkeye football player, Manders brings the football player tough guy mentality to the ring and can deliver a MEAN lariat. Having been trained at Black and Brave, he’s got a great foundation to develop into an even bigger star than he already is (already ranked in the PWI Top 500 only 3 years into his career).

104.       Wheeler Yuta

Wheeler Yuta should be signed by now (and honestly, he might be signed by ROH and I could be completely wrong but he’s going in here because he’s cool) and his work in the ring should be enough to get him there. From Synergy to the Masked Wrestler series, Yuta is one of the best technical wrestlers in the world and delivers amazing moves anytime he steps in the ring. And he’s musically talented as well as we saw during one of the Wrestler’s Talent Show gimmicks during the pandemic.

105.       ACH

ACH’s resume is long and well known and he’s just one of the top wrestlers in the world right now. It’s not debatable. He has the looks and the ability to perform with anyone in the world on any night and I feel like if he wants to wrestle somewhere, they’d gladly welcome him. Talent is undeniable and ACH is packed full of it. The indie world is lucky to have him back and I’m excited to see what he continues doing on his GCW run.

106.       Billie Starkz

Billie Starkz is for sure the youngest wrestler on this list but her work this year makes her very deserving of being on here. At only 16, she’s already faced huge names such as Kylie Rae, Deonna Purrazzo, Killer Kelly, she’s been in the GCW Clusterfuck, and faced Jake Something in a BRUTAL match for the BLP Championship that had all of Twitter buzzing. If this is what we’re already seeing this young, the Big Starkz Brand is going to be massive soon enough. Future champion.

107.       Max the Impaler

One of the most intense and menacing people in all of wrestling, Max has really worked on their physique throughout quarantine and puts out great workout videos to motivate. But in the ring, seeing a super mutant from the Wastelands looking across the ring from you can strike fear into any opponent. Only 2 years into their career, the talent and potential is already showing and a huge future is for sure in store for them.

108.       Cole Radrick

Cole Radrick is young as hell, but his work ethic and talent are going to take him anywhere he wants to go in the near future. This guy drove from Indiana to New Jersey for a seminar and a booking and went to work afterwards and that stuck with me. Making the drives is preached in pro wrestling but not many live that gimmick and when you see someone so young and talented like this do it and work for their dreams, you already know they will succeed.

109.       Blake Christian

All Heart Blake Christian has been touring the world now for the past year as one of the hottest free agents in all of wrestling. There was one point where any show that didn’t have him and Alex Zayne on it felt lacking. But it’s not just because he’s a name that he’s worth watching. This guy can perform in a high spot match or a good technical match and be a bright spot. There is nothing he’s lacking in the wrestling ring and any company is going to be lucky to sign him in the future.

110.       Still Life With Apricots and Pears

They are one of the best wrestlers to watch because not only are they skilled in the ring but they are skilled in drawing attention to their match. At PolyAm Cult Party 2, Ziggy Haim and Still Life probably made about 50 bucks each selling broke frames that went through their heads during the match. THAT’S ART! They are someone that should be watched and given a platform to perform on because they always deliver.

111.       Elayna Black

The Sorceress of Sin, Elayna Black has only been in the ring for just about 3 years but her resume is as strong as you can find it for such a short career. She’s performed on big stages such as AEW against Red Velvet and Brandi Rhodes and GCW as a regular who can fight anyone anytime. Her character is fantastic (I’m pretty scared of the whole tarot card thing sooooo please stay away) and her striking ability is exceptional. She can be the next big thing in women’s wrestling in 2021 without a doubt.

    112. JTG

JTG has made his return to the ring and he's changed a lot but that talent has not left him whatsoever. The swag is back and he's making a statement every time he's out there. Seeing him live for VXS has been amazing but he's traveled the country and made sure people remember the name. Hopefully he gets that TNT Championship shot he's been after.

113. Devon Monroe

Devon Monroe is athletic, young and has the charisma to make him a star sooner rather than later. Only 2 years into his career, his background being trained by MR KENNEDY aka Ken Anderson has led him to be highly skilled in the ring but his personality out of it is what makes him so must watch. He's among the many talented young wrestlers on this list that make the future of wrestling so exciting to watch.

114. Dark Sheik

Thanks to her amazing match at the Big Gay Brunch with Still Life, I was exposed to Dark Sheik's in ring ability for the first time. But it's her out of ring ability to be creative and innovative is what has made Dark Sheik such a value to the wrestling community. The creator of Hoodslam, the Bay Area's underground wrestling promotion that has become extremely popular to the point that if you ever see a Twitter discussion on the top wrestling promotions in the world, Hoodslam is always mentioned. Her abilities in the ring are fantastic as she showed in her match with Still Life and her dropping some Kofi Kingston moves mid match were memorable to as a huge New Day mark myself. Representing her brand the way she has, it makes me want to venture on over to Hoodslam at some point
